Is It Safe To Take Mucinex With Pseudoephedrine?

I have mild High Blood Pressure and take Linsopril. I am taking Mucinex with pseudoephedrine. I know the pseudoephedrine will raise the blood pressure some. Can I still take the Linsopril with the it or should I skip a dose? Will they work against each other.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per your history, yes you can take mucinex with pseudoephedrin.

Along with that in case of fever, you can take tablet acetaminophen. Take steam inhalation twice a day. Do saline or Betadine gargles.

Do regular blood pressure monitoring. Take a balanced diet. In case of fever, you may require antibiotics after consultation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
