Is It Safe To Take Biphentin And Clonidine 0.05 Together?

Hello. My 9 year old taking Biphentin 30 for ADHD in the mornings. He has tics, and they getting really bad with stimulants. Also he started to get Clonidine 0.05 for his tics before going to sleep, they are getting better. I am not sure how safe to take this meds together. Thank you

Hi,

It is not safe to take these medications together. Taking these medicines together can cause arrhythmia (abnormal irregular heart beats) which can be dangerous. He may need a dose adjustments to take both medications together or an alternate effective but a safer medication to treat tics.
