Is It Safe To Continue Taking Montek LC For A Long Time?

What is a the usual limit of narcotic pain medication prescribed for pain relief of avascular necrosis. I take 15mg every 6 hrs of oxycodone. I am trying to decide if hip replacement is the correct choice or to keep increasing pain meds in the hope that it resolves itself. Hx: acute lymphoblastic leukemia, allogeneic stem cell transplant; chronic graft vs host disease (liver), age 31.

Hello,

Taking of a drug for a long time is not good for health. But if benefits outweigh risks then we may advice it. It may cause dryness of eyes and nose. Nausea and vomiting. Few people may develop blurring of vision. Please consult with your treating doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
