Is It Safe For A Teen To Use MTP Kit For Abortion ?
Hello doctor...im 18 and half years of age...and im pregnant by 40 days....can i use the mtp kit without any consultation ? can you give me the possible dangers and side effects of the drug ? i dnt want my parents to find out....so would prefer a safe way of aborting as im not married....please help me...

What you are saying MTP kit is Mifepristone and Misoprostol tablets medicine. It is used for pregnancy termination upto 63 days. But it should be followed after consultation only. Many cases it is contraindicated also in some chronic disease. You should monitor ultrasonography also to see the intrauterine . Also after medicine also you have to follow up ultrasonography to confirm complete abortion. It is the choice of abortion but selection of patient is done after complete history and consultation only. Even you may had some side effects after this also in later menstruation cycles. so you are requested to visit and consult doctor first.

as your quite young so dont try anything of your own method for abortion because if something goes wrong you may cause damage to the uterus . there are many methods or drugs for this but need to consult and find out which one is ssuitable for you . so consult a gynaecologist for the abortion.
