Is It Safe For A Person With Epilepsy To Take Benzonatate?

Hello Doc, I hope You Can Answer My Few Questions. Is it safe for a person with epilepsy to take benzonatate??
The side effects appear to be somewhat dangerous. What about about fluticasone propionate? The side effects on that appear to be somewhat scary.

So both of these drugs are generally safe for use in Epileptics. Benzonatate is going to numb the nerves which are irritated and causing your cough (i assume a cough was the reason for the prescription). It shouldn't be used for a very long time. If your cough persists, please talk to your doctor.

Fluticasone is a drug, very similar to a steroid which is generally prescribed for Asthmatics and/or people suffering from a disease called COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease). It is usually inhaled since its absorption through the gut is poor.

Fluticasone is a drug which should be used very carefully under physician supervision, especially if you have liver problems (because your liver has to break the drug down). Using it may require your doctor to change the dosage of your anti-epileptic medication (or medications)

Overall I would say that they are both safe to use under medical supervision and with regular checkups by your doctor.
