Is It Okay To Split Eltroxin For Abnormal TSH Level While Breastfeeding?

hi doctor ,i am 28 years old ,i have a baby boy 6 month and i am breastfeeding .

1 week ago i make a blood test ...my TSH is 50,t3 normal ,t4:0.6 .so my doctor prescribe for me eltroxindrug 50mg

and she told me to split the tablet to half for 1 week .

it is ok to split the tablet and can be harmful to my baby ?

Hello, Eltroxin doesn't have any data to say that it should not be given during breast feeding..
In fact if you keep your thyroid levels in normal levels then ur child's thyroid levels will be in normal range.
So its prefferd to take the dose as prescribed by your gp.
