Is It Normal To Have No Pregnancy Related Symptoms?

Hi I'm 8 weeks pregnant. I was spotting but this has ceased and I had an ultrasound 3 days ago and we saw the heartbeat. I did have pregnancy symptoms (sore breasts, fatigue, nausea one time, bloating, heightened sense of smell, frequent urination). Now today I haven't had any of these symptoms. I had a miscarriage 2 years ago so I'm freaking out. Is it normal for pregnancy symptoms to just disappear around 8 weeks?

Thank you for the question and I am happy to help.

The decrease in first trimester pregnancy related symptoms, while concerning, does not mean that you are miscarrying. Yes, it is concerning when your only other reference point in the past is a prior miscarriage. What you are describing might be completely normal. Also, the most reassuring thing is that you are not having any bleeding or cramping. Given that you had a prior miscarriage, you need to call your doctor and schedule a visit to come in and confirm exactly what is going on. Any OB Provider should be willing to do this for you, and if they are not, then find another doctor.

I hope that this helps and good luck!
