Is It Normal To Have Heavy Period With Loss Of Appetite And Irritation?

I am on birth control after having severe depression during my period. I had a tubal ligation done in feb 2013. All of a sudden I have been spotting the week before my period. My period is a lot heavier now after my second child then it has ever been. This month I had the spotting, my period, a few days break, and now Im bleeding again. So off and on for three weeks I have been bleeding, tired, loss of appetite, and irritable. What is going on? Should I be taking a pregnancy test? Is this normal?

Thank you for choosing Healthcaremagic. Its unlikely you get pregnant after tubal ligation, if you have missed your periods then kindly get urine pregnancy test. You need evaluation for this irregular spotting and bleeding, right from PAP smear to scan pelvis and also blood investigation including thyroid function.
