Hi,

Beta blockers like Metoprolol are used to treat, prevent or improve symptoms in people who have irregular heart rhythm or arrhythmia, heart failure, angina, heart attacks, migraine, tremors etc. If you take Metoprolol regularly, you may have serious withdrawal symptoms if you suddenly stop. Withdrawal symptoms are headache, chest pain, palpitations, malaise, tremor, sweating etc. Withdrawal symptoms may start between 12 hours to 7 days after stopping Metoprolol, but most start between 24 and 48 hours after stopping. You should follow up with your doctor if you feel such type of withdrawal symptoms.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
