Is It A Matter Of Concern To Suddenly Have Sore Breast Which Hurts To Touch?

I woke up this morning with a sore left breast. The pain is in the upper and left side. It only hurts when I touch it. I usually experience tender, sore breasts on both sides just before my period but this is different. I went to bed last night completely fine and woke up with the pain. Not sure if I should be concerned.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

This would not really be considered a cause for concern, as in most cases it is related to a hormonal imbalance caused by various factors like age, periods, medication, birth control, stress, etc.

Please wait for a while as it should subside, but if it does not or if this is something you do not wish to endure, then visit your doctor at the earliest.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
