Is It OK For A 50'ish Type II Diabetic To Get A Tattoo?

Is it ok for a 50'ish Type II Diabeteic to get a tattoo? Always wanted one, and I am not getting any younger. I take Metforin and Januvia to control my sugar. Never have had any problems with things healing . Been diagnosed for 8 years. What do you think?
