Hi, I have gone through your question. Medroxyprogesterone is progesterone given to regulate the menstrual cycle. When taken for longer than a week, it can cause side effects like breast engorgement and pain, heaviness in the lower abdomen and cramps in uterus before and during withdrawal periods. Bleeding can be a bit prolonged due to the effect of hormonal withdrawal from the body.
I would suggest you to wait for 7-10 days after stopping the drug, if you are still having bleeding then do consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
