Is Conception Possible Despite Taking MT Pill And Misoprostol?

my wife age 30years weight 45kg and no any medical problem yet taken one MTpill cipla 200mg AND two misoprostol 200 mcg after 12 hours and another two after 24 hours. but after 48 hour in ultrasound report that alive fetus exsist of 16 weeks . now we want to conceive baby want to know what will be happen

Hallow dear,

MT pill is Mifepristone. This medicine followed by Misoprostol is used safely for termination of pregnancy up to 9 weeks, though pregnancies up to 20 weeks also can be terminated by this combination with different dose. You have taken both. So your pregnancy should have got terminated. If the bleeding has not started, you have to report to the doctor when the medicines may be repeated or termination done by surgical methods.

However, continuation of pregnancy after failure of Mifepristone/Misoprostol combination is not advised since there is high risk that the baby may have developed some abnormalities. Please report to the Gynaecologist and get the pregnancy terminated. If you want to have a child now, please go for a fresh pregnancy; do not continue this pregnancy for the risk mentioned above.
