Is Cholesterol Is Hereditary And Cant Control By Exercise?

My Glucose fasting is 5.93 mmoI/L and glucose pp is 4.95 .
cholesterol is 4.6 mmoI/L
But Triglycerides 2.65 mmoI/L

I am taking daily one tab Razal 10 for cholesterol and no any medication for Diabetics.

I am 66 Yrs 6 ft tall.Do regular exercises & play badminton.Very active.Eat lots of fruits and Vegetables,les carb & fats
But for cholesterol and moderate hearing impairedness, no other medical history.
Dr said cholesterol is hereditary (cholesterol did not come down with Exercises and dieting)
Taking chole-medicine since 2 years first 5mg & now 10 mg.
Not admitted to a hospital even for a single day till date.

In some cases not all increased levels of cholesterol are due to genetic factors. There are certain enzymes in the cholesterol metabolism pathway which may be deficient leading to increased levels of cholesterol inspite of good diet and exercise.
If you are 66 and highly active then kudos . Try to maintain this lifestyle and the drugs prescribed to you would keep the level of cholesterol below dangerous levels.
