Is Bloating Of Stomach Normal After Abortion?
I just got an abortion 3 days ago. My stomach looks more pregnant and more bloated now than when i actually was pregnant. I was about 6.5 weeks pregnant when they did the procedure on me. Is this normal? How long until my stomach goes back to how it looked before I was pregnant? Also while I was pregnant I experience painful breast pains. How long does this pain last even after the abortion?

Understand your concern
Following are the causes of bloating of stomach after surgical abortion.
Hormonal imbalance: stress during surgical process and withdraw of pregnancy hormone that lead to bloating of stomach
Paralytic ileus: loss of movement of intestine lead accumulation of gas.
Indigestion or gas.
If it is due to hormonal imbalance, it take long time to get normal.
You have to start regular exercise daily in the morning for 1 hour, avoid fatty food, take small frequent meal rather than large meal.
If it is gas or indigestion take digestive enzymes, drink lots of fluid, dizene tablet.
All hormonal imbalance come back to normal after 3-4 week after abortion.
If problem persists, contact the gynecologist and go for USG scan to find out other causes like retain product and paralytic ileus.

Bloating of abdomen after abortion is due to after effects of anesthetia &also antibiotics given before &after the procedure & psychological & physical stress of the abortion.
It should resolve within 48 hours.
Breast tenderness would take 8-10 daus to resolve.. when pregnancy hotmones get reduced from blood.
