Hello and welcome,
A low lying placenta means that the placenta is attached to the lower part of the uterus instead of the upper part [ normal attachement is in the upper part]. So it delays or prevents the baby from coming down during labor. Hence the baby is stuck up. Also if the baby presses on the placenta it can cause bleeding.
The chances of labor depend upon the exact location of placenta and its distance from the cervix, position of the babies head.
If the placenta is close to the cervix and the head is high above then chances of delivery are not there. Your doctor is the best judge about this as this needs an examination and will be able to tell you. So please discuss this with her for further clarification.
