Is IBS Associated With Mucus In Throat With Intestinal Cramps?

Hi Doctor,
I have been feeling dizzy, achy, with mucus in back of throat for over a week. I am 55 years old and a female. I had a hysterectomy one year ago.
Last night had a bowel movement and almost passed out.Today tired, achy, dizzy and a slight cramping in lower intestines.
Can't eat anything but bread and water. Also my mouth is very raw.I am on tamoxifen, 5th year.
Could this be IBS?

Hi. IBS is a longer story than yours, I think. It's not a five days nor a last night health change story, so I don't think of IBS in your case. The upper symptoms could be signs of a viral sore throat and the lower symptoms signs of an indigestion or of another functional change in bowel work. And then we can't forget the Tamoxifen side effects: all of what you above-mentioned are between its side effects, probably not the commonest. Anywhere you have to wait and see for some time I'd suggest, you know time's the best healer.
