Is Foracort Inhaler Recommended For Persistent Dry Cough?

I am suffering from dry cough since last 3 months. I have already taken 3 dosage of antibiotics in 3 successive months as per doctor s advice, but no improvement has taken place. Now, I have consulted another doctor who adviced me to take foracort 200 inhaler. My chest x-ray report and blood report are normal, but there is a slight chance of tuberculosis. My question is whether the foracort 200 inhaler is safe for me? I am concerned as it is a steroid and also mainly used for asthma and I do not have asthma

the medicine you are using is not alone used for asthama ,form the symptoms you mentioned and the ongoing medicine it seems that you might be suffering from allergic tracheobronchitis.
and for the question that whether you can take that medicine for long, the answer is yes but under doctors supervision.
