Irregular Periods. Used To Take Regestrone Tablet. Will This Effect If I Am Pregnant?
i am 28 yrs old and was married in july this yr.. i have been having irregular periods even bfr my wedding and was daigonsed pcos long back.. since thn i have been on either ocp or i take regesterone 5 mg to get my periods... my periods were due on the 30th july but a i dint get thm till the 5th aug i sarted taking regesterone 5 mg.. i just wanted to know if it is ok??? what if i am pregnant will it effect my pregnancy... i had protected sex with my husband... but just in case if i am pregnant will it effect??? thanks for ur help in advance... also it would be great if u can advise me what i shud do in future...
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. If you are overdue for your period you should consult a gynaecologist to rule out pregnancy. As such if you are on regesterone and you will get pregnant it will not affect pregnancy but if your pregnancy is confirmed stop taking regesterone tablet.
