Infant. Cough, Green Mucus, Sneezing, Difficulty Breathing At Night. Prescribed Amoxicillin. Safe?

my 7 month old has been congested for over a month now. when i would take her to the doctor, her lungs were clear and her ears were clear. they suggested i use saline and a suction. over the last week it seems like it's getting worse. the mucus is green, she has a little cough, she sneezes a lot and can't breathe at night. Doctor wrote a prescription for amoxicillin. is this OK to use? will it stop the congestion and give her some nasal relief?

Hi ! it seems your baby has got a respiratory tract infection for which the doctor prescribed amoxicillin as it is already a month now. For the blocked nostrils, you can use saline nasal drops for her. It may take some time for the nasal congestion to clear. Sometimes simple steam inhalation also work well for nasal congestion. Please discuss with your family physician to know how it is done.
Wishing your baby an early recovery.
