ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi Aclee,

The description given by you can be granular pharyngitis, this is swollen lymphoid follicles secondary to the underlying infection. Drink plenty of warm water and do throat gargles with povidone iodine mouth gargles and you can also take anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen. If the symptoms persist you will have to consult your ENT specialist.
