I Have Been Using Otosporin Ear Drops Which Says Do Not Use If Pregnant . Should I Be Worried?

I have just found out im pregnant. this is my 3rd baby (delivered healthy babies at 38 and 39) and my age is 43. I weigh 60 kilos and am 5ft 6 inches. I am probably just 10-14 days from conception. I have been using otosporin ear drops for an ear infection for the last 8 or 9 days. it says on the information do not use if pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant . I am concerned about this and do not want to worry throughout the pregnancy esp. as im worried enough about conceiving at my age. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The safety of otosporin ear drops has not been established for pregnant women, and so it is better not to take a chance. But I would not worry too much about having taken them. Although, it would be best to avoid them from here on until the end of your pregnancy.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
