initially i faced it while standing and then its coming while sleeping too....first full giddiness and then starts vomitings 2, 3 times ...one thing i observed was my head falls left side..some noise sounds i can sense in left ear only...right side is perfect at that time......and how i feel while giddiness is something (blood) is pumping into left head and stopping...this feeling i can sense it for few hours...

my doctor has recommended some basic NURVES System to know if any problem in nurves, ETC & ECHO tests to know heart beat problems...but all results came NORMAL....doctor itself bit confused with my symptoms ...DOCTOR recommended to sleep left side when giddiness happens...

and at any time baby heart beat is NORMAL...

my BP was 100/70
sometimes i feel full swetting when giddiness happens.. ..now a days swetting is not there much...

Dear Haritha
As your blood pressure is absolutely normal and still you have this giddiness so it suggest there could be some ear problem- may be labyrinthitis or otitis so go to good ENT doctor and do check your ear and second possibility is benign postural vertigo - but it is associated with the posture that means when you change your posture for a temporary period you will get giddiness.

Hello,

In medical terms you are having Aortocaval compression syndrome. To make it simple, the pregnant uterus presses upon vessels and this causes a low blood pressure which is the cause behind your symptoms.

The solution is to lie on one of your sides when you feel any symptoms. Other symptoms include: pallor, bradycardia, sweating, nausea.

Hello,

First of all you need to calm down because this is not a serious problem because once you get the symptoms, you lie down on your side and hence the symptoms resolve. It won't affect your baby.

You only need to do the above action once you feel symptoms.

This condition occurs only in late pregnancy because it is when the uterus is big. You must follow up with your doctor to ensure that everything is normal.

Hello,

At what position do you get dizzy (is it when sleeping supine or standing) ? Is there any other symptoms you feel while dizzy, like sweating and slow heart rate ?
