Hypoplastic Uterus, One Fallopian Tube, Never Had Menstruation. Can I Be Pregnant?

hi there. myself preet from nz. i am worried about my sister in law. she is in india and diagnosed that she is having hypoplastic uterus, never had mensturation,one fallopian tube(visible in the scan 2010), but no tube appeared in the recent scan(sept 2013).
can she be pregnant by any means?

Hello Preet.
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
A hypoplastic uterus is one which is not developed normally.
As she has never menstruated ever, it means that the lining of the uterus has not developed at all.
Also, she would need a hysteroscopy and laparoscopy to confirm the status of the uterus, lining of the uterus and the fallopian tubes.
If the uterus is not responding to hormones, she might respond favourably to hormonal medications.
Else, surrogacy is always a last option.
