How To Treat Urinary Tract Infection And Burning Sensation?
Last week had urinary tract infection burning sensation while passing urine and blood in urine. Started at 11pm on 18.06.2012 , took Cifran 500 mg - 2 tablets , urine got cleared by 5 am , next morning , burning sensation reduced immediately. Got admitted in hospital on 19.06.2012 , did the following tests , PSA - 24 , USG - Prostatomegaly - 40gms, Uroflow rate - 9ml/sec .I am diabeditic , Hb1ac - 7.4 , I have BP - taking Stamlo BetaM in the morning and Repace 100 in the evening. Also taking NATRILIX SR and Aztor 5. Got admitted for the first time at the age of 60 +yrs as I had fever and vomitting sensation. CRP - 46.77 , Blood Urea- 31mg/dl, Creatinine - 1.1mg/dl, Sodium - 129 mEq/L & Potassium - 3.4 mEq/L. How is my kidney function

Hi and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist,i can understand your anxiety.
Your kidney function is fine and you don't need to worry about that.
However,you've D.M.(diabetes mellitus),H.T(Hypertension),high cholesterol,BPE(prostate gland enlargement),high PSA,UTI with fever.
You need to do an urine culture test,repeat the PSA after 2 weeks,and do an
U/S-KUB,with residual urine and a TRUS,after the fever subsides.
These reports will be able to help give an expert opinion by an Urologist.
