How To Treat Swelling Of Labia Minora?
I just noticed that my labia minora is swollen and has a hard disk on the left side. I am sexually active but this has never happened before. I took Plan B yesterday January 13, 2014 and then an hour later immediately noticed that it had this hard disk. It is close to the vagina and labia majora. What could it be?

Swelling of labia minora can be seen after intercourse due to increased blood supply to it or due to minor injuries due to friction. The possible causes of hard disk you mentioned are:
- Injury to labial tissue can lead to bruises which can appear hard
- Solidifaction of secretions from vagina
- Infection of the tissue with inflammatory changes
- Rarely emergency contraceptive pill can lead to vaginal dryness and the tissue may appear hard
If the symptoms persist, better to consult your Gynecologist once, get examined and take treatment accordingly. Meanwhile sitz bath with luke warm water and disinfectant like dettol liquid can decrease the severity of symptoms.
