How To Treat Recurrent UTI S And Kidney Infections?

I am a 43 year old female with a history of recurrant UTI s and kidney infections. I have recently treated a urinary tract infection several times and still have problems. I am nauseated, fatigued, unable to gain weight and my urine smells like hot dogs and it hurts to pee. Both my parents are diabetics and I may be there. I have decreased the amount of protein in my diet, increased water intake and take a cranberry supplement. What else can I do? I have no job or health insurance.

Hello and welcome to HCM
I have read your query
I hope this will help
Recurrent UTI is a common problem especially in females.
You should have a URINE culture sensitivity test and ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND.
As your parents are diabetic you should be investigated for diabetes. As diabetes is commonly associated with recurrent UTI.
Meanwhile keep on using cranberry juice and once reports are available discuss with your physician to prescribe you appropriate antibiotic according to the C/S report for at least 2 weeks.
I hope I have answered your query
