I was playing softball 4 days ago and a ground ball bounced and hit me in the nose. There was some bleeding and I also cut my top lip. The bleeding stopped quickly, but now 4 days later my nose is still painful with a little bit of swelling. The pain is mainly between the nostrils on the bottom and is causing pain to my gums. Is this normal or should I see a physician?
Thanks for posting your query to HCM. You should get a radiographic examination done of the area to rule out any kind of trauma to bone as the ball directly hit you on nose. I would suggest you to visit an ENT specialist for proper examination and correct treatment. Till then you should take Novagesic MR 2-3 times a day for pain relief. Hope my answer will help you.
