My perinium has been irritated for about a week (result of hair re-growing post-shave, my labia was also irritated) but I woke up yesterday to find it is now swollen, off to one side. It is tender to the touch, but is not interfering with walking or sitting. The swelling has also pulled at the skin at the back side of my vulva, which is now also tender and looks like it s close to tearing. I have been using hot compresses throughout the day-- the swelling has not gone away but has not gotten worse. What could this be, and what can I do to remedy the swelling?
