How To Treat COPD And Asthma?

My Dad had a 5 bypass when he was 67, he is now 82. At the time the Drs. put in a pacemaker and a defibullator. Last year he they said he had COPD and he also has Asthma. Now they say he has A Fib. I live in NJ he lives in Fl., he acts likes it s nothing, but I m very concerned. Mother died about 31/2 yrs. ago (stepmom) he has a girlfriend, so someone is with him. How concerned should I be? I think VERY. Thank U YYYY@YYYY

Welcome to HCM. Thanks for posting your query. I understand your concerns. As your dad is having both cardiac and respiratory disease, he is a very high risk patient.

You need to look after him very carefully. He needs to take all the prescribed medications regularly.

If any super added infection occurs, you need to take him immediately to the hospital.
