Hi, Welcome to healthcare magic,
SCaphoid # is one diagnosis which cannot be confirmed with x ray at the time of injury. It can be confirmed either by CT SCAN or by an x ray after about 1 week when the fracture line clears itself.

until then the hand should be immobilized in a B/K POP slab / cast (scaphoid cast ) which is applied in a glass holding position with the wrist in ulnar deviation and slight dorsi flexion.

-Pls keep the limb elevated with a sling / arm pouch failing which there can be swelling of the fingers and hand leading to plaster complications.
-If fracture is confirmed, plaster can be continued for about 8 weeks.
