When taking bromocriptine to lower my prolactin level, I went to the emergency room cuz I felt like I was going to pass out. When the doctor did labs, my thyroid was showing H6.6 but without taking the bromocryptine it is showing normal and my prolactin hormone shows high. I am 24yrs old, 5'2" and weigh 211. What do I have and what do I need to do to fix it??
Hello, Hyperprolactinemia can cause change in TSH levels. If you can not tolerate bromocriptine, then you may change over to Cabergoline. This can be taken once or twice a day. Once your prolactin levels are normal, TSH will also settle down. Did you have an MRI f pituitary done? Regards' Binu
