How To Overcome The Fungal Infection In Groin And Perianal Areas?

Hi, I am suffering from fungal infection in groin and perianal areas. My skin specialist prescribed lulifin lotion with other oral medicines. I applied the lotion and immediately it felt like burning my skin!.. i couldn't even apply it to the infected area. I want to know whether this is the right lotion or not!

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Lulifin is a new antifungal agent which is being prescribed now a days for fungal infections like tenia or ringworm infection. Some antifungals do produce slight itching or burning sensation which actually denotes skin penetration. But if you are getting very sore and the burning sensation is associated with severe itching and rashes, most probably you are allergic to it. I suggest you get in touch with your treating doctor and get a new prescription of antifungal drugs.
Please keep the groin area clean and dry.

Thanks.
