How To Get Rid Of The Fatigue Caused By The Medicine Given To Me?

I had a sore throat, and slight fever. My doc has prescribed Deriphyllin tablets twice daily, a cough syrup twice daily and Ampoxin 500 to be take thrice daily. I feel sleepy and fatigued throughout the day after taking these. I need to travel day after. IAm I getting better? Is there a way to get rid of the fatigue?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Unfortunately fatigue is a very common side effect of cough/cold medications. It is usually due to either the anti histamine or cough suppressant in the medication.

If you are not coughing too badly or your symptoms are improving, then you can discontinue the cough/cold med during the day and just use the antibiotics.
Alternatively , if you have a lot of nasal symptoms (congestion, runny nose, post nasal drip), then you can just use a decongestant with the antibiotics

I hope this helps
