How To Get Relief From Constant Sore Throat Due To Cysts On Thyroid?
I have constant sore throats, even when i am not sick. in the past doctors have said its just a virus and would not do anything. So i just deal with it. But its getting worse. Last year i went to a specialist who found 4 cycts on my thyroid. My tsh is normal. Cycts are about little less than a centmeter. So he didnt do anything. wanted to wait to see if they grow. And said he was not going to take my tonsils out. Well its been almost a year still have problems. Almost everyday my throat hurts. Recently had bad cough and doctor gave me zithromiacin (not sure how to spell) to my surprise it cleared it up and my throat was normal for about 2 weeks. BUT NOW SORE THROAT IS BACK daily now. And i still have the cycsts. HELP whats the answer?
Cysts are pretty common in thyroid and do not cause a sore throat!! so idon think you need any surgery for them. You may not be having an infection, rather it may be acid reflux and i would like you to meet a good gastro- entrologist, who can do an endoscopy on you and guide you further. Meanwhile you should avoid spicy and oily food and take a light dinner. THanks
