How To Get Out Of The Habit Of Depression?

somehow my emotions are very easily affected by complete stranger's emotions, like if someone feels depressed with their lives in a movie, afterwards i will immediately feel all the sadness in their lives and feel completely lost in my life and see despair in everything. how do i get out of this habit of depression?

It appears that you tend to be emotionally labile and associated pertaining to the other persons situation keep on coming into your mind and in no time you put yourself at their place emotionally and then this state carries on. It would suggest you the following:

1. Do not react to situations emotionally. Give a 'pause' before your respond. This pause gives time to the logical brain (forebrain) to play its role and control emotions otherwise it is the emotional brain (limbic system) that is driving you in such situations.
2. Read more about emotional intelligence (EQ).
