How To Cure The Pilondial Sinus?

I have pilonidal sinus more than 13 years. I did surgery at the time to ease the swollen part. 13 years before, during the operation, the doctor told me that it can't be cured and still I live with it. At the moment most of the time I don't feel pain but sometimes it has pain which accompanied with tiny bit mucus like.
