Hello and welcome to HCM, Management of anal fissure requires rest to the anal sphincter. Constipation will deteriorate the anal fissure and will inhibit its healing. Thus, it is important to allow the fissure to heal. Stool softeners will provide rest to the anal sphincter and help in its healing. I suggest you to consult a primary healthcare provider for a clinical assessment and prescription of stool softener.
Hi. I see so many patient in my clinic daily with a complaint of constipation, pain and bleed while passing stool, on examination there is usually a fissure in the anal region. If i was your treating doctor i would suggest a stool softner like ispaghol husk,an atibiotics to cover the infection and topical fissured cream..follow up after 15 t0 20 days is advised. Usually the fissure heal in this time frame, if not then surgical treatment like SPHINCTEROTOMY is next option. I hope i gave your answer,if you have further querry i will be happy to help you. Thanks for using healthcare magic.
