Good day, My mum is a border line type -2 diabetic. She is 53 and has been border line for about 10 years. She stepped on a nail last night and she's having fever. the place is a lil swollen. She has also taken her blood sugar level at home, and it's dropping rapidly. Kindly advise on possible solutions/treatments/complications.thank you
you need to see a doctor to treat that infection on the foot .dropping blood sugars could happen in fever as she wouldn't be eating well . stop her anti diabetic medication ,her doctor would probably need to treat her with insulin for the time being .
