Hello and thank you for asking HCM.
I have read your questions and i will answer all of them step by step:
-What is the wise thing to do if you aren't sure you have a
urinary tract infection and you've been to the doctor twice already for it previously? To be sure if a patient has or not an urinary tract infection, he needs to do an urine test/culture. If you want to do it,you can do a dipstick test kid at your home, without the need of a prescription. If i was your doctor, without symptoms,i wouldn't see any reason to do an urine test at all,and no reason to start any kind of treatment.
-What if it isn't every single time that you have to really go to the bathroom, it's just sometimes that it becomes serious? Is it the beginning of a tract infection?
Always after an infection is spread at your urinary tract it will give symptoms, either burning sensation, urinating frequently, urge to urinate, changes in color of the urine ect. In that case we recommend an urine test and prescribe antibiotics.
But to keep a healthy urinary tract, and help it to not get infected easily here are some tips:
-have plenty of liquids
-fresh fruit juice, cranberry or orange juice would be great
-rose tea,chamomile tea, 1 or 2 cup
-always urinate just after having sex
-don't hold your urine for long hours.
If you have any other question, feel free to contact me.
Wish you good health.
