How To Bring The Creatinine Level Down?

I am trying to research a way to bring my fathers creatinin level down. He had heart valve infection which caused his already weakened kidneys to fail. He is 85 and would like for him to not have to stay on dialysis. All other test show something is working as levels are within range?

Unfortunately there is no way to bring the creatinine level down. The test is a measure of kidney function and the level tells you how severe the kidney damage is. To bring it down, the kidney function would have to improve by the kidney damage healing up. This may not happen, given the infection and his kidneys already being weak. If this event was fairly recent, he may have some healing of the damage and the creatinine will improve. All you can do is wait for the healing and continue dialysis in the meantime. Hope this helps.
