How Safe Is Taking Pregeterone And Naturogest During Pregnancy?

hello my name is lakshmi, im 29 yrs. im a pregnant of seven months and entered 8th month. Right frm my concception My doctr is advising to take progesterone tablets like HerNMP. Naturogest200mg. Till date im consuming them. This is my second pregnancy. During my first issue I didnt took this harmone tablets. Wl there be any. perticular reasons for asking me to consume this tabs. im I ok with my
physical process. Due to this tablets im not really able to eat well. when I dont take this tablets I feel better. please advise. -Lakshmi

Welcome to HCM
Naturogest is the brand name of a hormone called progesterone. It is used for the treatment of dysfunctional uterine bleeding, infertility due to documented deficiency of progesterone and premenstrual syndrome (PMS).
It is also used for the maintenance of early pregnancy (up to 12th week only) in cases of documented history of repeated miscarriages due to luteal phase defect. In other words there should have been repeated miscarriages in the past and there should be documented luteal phase defect (i.e. progesterone deficiency). Unless these two conditions are met, it should not be given.
There is no need to take these tablets in your case if you didn't had any previous abortions.
