Hello,
Metformin has nothing to do with improvement of your sight, although a slight improvement can be seen with control of diabetes because eye lens gets swollen in HYPERGLYCEMIA and with control of blood sugar, this swelling reduces which results in improvement of eye sight.
It is also to be seen that whether deterioration in sight is due to normal ageing process or due to the diabetic retinopathy which is a complication of long standing uncontrolled diabetes.
You must consult a opthalmologist and get yourself evaluated properly.
Thanks
