How Long Will It Take For Strained Calf Muscle To Heal?
I strained the outside of my calf muscle, I was out for a month and the doctor just gave me the green light to start running and playing basketball again. After my first fun/basketball practice, my ankle hurt. Now I can run on it without limping. Can you tell me how long this will hurt and how to reduce the time? I want to start playing basketball again.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The length of time needed for healing a calf strain depends on the severity of the injury. A typical grade I calf strain will heal in seven to 10 days, a grade II injury within about four to six weeks, and a grade III calf strain within about three months. I suggest to rest to reduce the recovery time.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
