General & Family Physician Dr. Meeta Misra's  Response
Hi, Typhoid fever is generally got due to ingestion of contaminated food or water. It is charecterised by cont high grade fever. Fever persists for a prolonged duration. Hence take proper rest. Continue your medications , even after your fever subsides for at least 3 to 4 days more. Eat only home cooked food.
If you are not having fever, then you have been cured of typhoid. But Widal tests continue to remain high for about some months.Dont worry it will come back to normal range.
Good Luck
