How is thinning of the retina treated ? I had IOL Implant on both eyes in 1998 and 2002. Several months ago I experienced flashes of lights on several occasions. These was associated with blurring and distorted vision. Lately, the distorted visions appears like waves. No pain at all.

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having thinning of retina. Thinning of retina is because of retinal degeneration, most commonly because of lattice degeneration of retina.
The treatment is by prophylactic laser photo coagulation.
This is important to prevent retinal complications like retinal detachment.

Thank you
