How Effective Is Percocet 10/325 Mg For Migraines?

I have been prescribed percocet 10/325 mg for migraines and found out that I am pregnant 2 weeks ago. I am now 6 weeks pregnant and have had an increase in my migraines and have taken the percocet (before I knew and after for the intense pain). Does this cause any increase in birth defects and should I be worried?

Perocet contains acetaminophen and oxycodone. Both belongs to category B means it is relatively safe for use in pregnancy.
But the combination belongs to category C, that might be due to non availability of studies.
In my opinion, the incidence of any defects occuring with perocet use is very low.
I would recommend you to inform your obstetrician about the medications. And also let your physician know that you are pregnant.
I hope the above information helps you. Thanks for writing into healthcaremagic. Have a wonderful day.
