How Effective And Safe Is Taking Morphine For Relieving Pain?

I have had chronic daily headaches now for 41 years. I have had lots of tablets but, none have helped. The pain is really bad and I feel sick as well all the time. Can taking morphine help with the pain? Also my right hand is painful now and I have some swelling as well. My left hand has some swelling but, no pain.

Hi thanks for asking question.
You have chronic headache.The cause for it has to be searched like that of hypertensive disease, chronic sinusitis, brain tumour etc.
According to cause treatment is given.
If pain not relieved by simple analgesic then opioid medication like you taking about morphine can be taken.
But this drugs not safe.It has withdrawal symptoms also on long term duration.
So better to search cause and do treatment , otherwise opioid drug can be taken for relief of pain.
