How Does The Low Amniotic Fluid Affect The Baby And Mother And The Measure To Be Taken?

Hi, I am 34 weeks pregnant.Last week I had a sonography done which said the liquor content is low (8 cm). What can be the causes for this? How does low liquor affect mother and the baby? What can I do from my side to this back to normal level?
