How Do BP Tablets Works ?

i have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and put on tablets;can anyone medically tell me how do they work and lower blood pressure? tablets are called Bendroflumethiazide

ok, i haven't researched it so this is a guess kind of, but i do think that they slow down your heart rate which in turn lowers your blood pressure.

Helo,
Bendroflumethiazide is a thiazide diuretic. It stops sodium reabsorption in the kidneys and thus causes excess excretion of sodium plus water from the body along with potassium and hydrogen ions.
This causes reduction in blood pressure
